July 14, 2006 New Leasing /Marketing Specialist Joins Capitol Places COLUMBIA,
S.C. – Capitol Places, one of Columbia’s most successful
downtown real estate development companies, is pleased to announce
that Alyson L. Bullock has joined the firm as a leasing and marketing
specialist “I’m proud to be part of a company that
believes so passionately in the revitalization of downtown
Columbia,” says Bullock. “I’m looking forward to being involved
with everything Capitol Places has planned for the future.” Ms. Bullock joined Capitol Places after spending
more than a year as a leasing agent for the Columbia branch of the
management company Capstone, Inc. “Alyson will play a key role in the marketing
and leasing of our 4 city
center locations,” said Chris Chessick, director of operations for
Capitol Places. “Her interaction with current and future residents provides
us with a first hand look at the urban dweller and what attracts them
to our buildings. That insight is priceless,” said Chessick. Bullock is a recent graduate from the University
of South Carolina where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in
both Marketing and Management along with a minor in Women’s Studies.
Raised in Columbia, SC, Bullock is also a graduate of Irmo High
School. Over the next several years, Capitol Places will
continue to build and renovate in downtown Columbia with current plans
to exceed 500 residential units. By September, when the Barringer building’s 75
apartments are completed, Capitol Places will have 168 unique
city-center apartments each with its own distinct character and style.
All are a short walk to downtown businesses, health care and
educational facilities, places of worship, libraries, museums,
historic and cultural points of interest, parks and recreation,
shopping, fine dining and nightlife. Capitol Places was formed in 1998 to develop,
rent and manage apartments in downtown Columbia, South Carolina with a
focus on historic buildings. After the successful renovation of some
of Columbia’s most historic but vacant buildings, particularly on
Main St., Capitol Places also began developing and selling residential
