CCP Board Member Tom Prioreschi to Speak at
IDA Conference in Houston
Thomas J. "Tom" Prioreschi, City Center Partnership Board
Member, will speak at the International Downtown Association (IDA)
2004 Spring Conference in Houston, Texas April 17 - 19.
Columbia, SC (PRWEB) April 10, 2004--Thomas J. "Tom"
Prioreschi, City Center Partnership Board Member, will speak at
the International Downtown Association (IDA) 2004 Spring
Conference in Houston, Texas April 17 - 19. The Spring 2006 IDA
Conference will be held in Columbia, SC.
The topic of Prioreschi's session will be "The Bucks Behind
Residential Projects." He will discuss financing, methods, tools,
and common mistakes to avoid in developing downtown housing.
About Tom Prioreschi and Downtown Residential Development:
Prioreschi has been involved in Real Estate Development for over
25 years. He is a graduate of Case Western Reserve University in
Cleveland, Ohio with a Chemical Engineering Degree and a Masters
Degree in Business Administration. Prioreschi worked for Union
Carbide and then International Paper Company in a variety of
Engineering and Management Positions before starting his own
entrepreneurial ventures. He has been involved in almost 70
different real estate development ventures, with the four most
recent all done on Main Street in Columbia, SC. The first project
was the Kress Building, followed by the Berry's on Main building
and most recently the Silvers Building (Columbia's first Main
Street Condominium project). Work has begun on the renovation of
the Barringer Building into 75 apartments on the upper floors.
Prioreschi is on the Board of Directors for City Center
Partnership, the Cultural Council, and is on the Chamber's Issues
Committee.
